Chef Peter Prime, brings his Trinidadian heritage to the Washington D.C. culinary scene. After leadership roles at fine Georgetown restaurants like Citronelle and Equinox, Prime and his sister, Jeanine Prime, opened Cane on H Street. While there, Chef Prime earned local and national accolades, including multiple James Beard nominations for Best Chef, but he left Cane before he could be considered for the top prize in 2022. He quickly found his next platform in Navy Yard at Bammy’s, with partners Chris Morgan and Gerald Addison, where Caribbean flavors and vibes helped him snag a nomination for Mid-Atlantic’s Best Chef.
