Chef Yuan Tang’s journey began with his notable experience at prestigious dining establishments, including three-Michelin-star Jean Georges and one-Michelin-star The Modern, and as the sous chef at Dovetail in New York City. In 2019, he and his wife Carey opened Rooster & Owl in Washington D.C., introducing a concept focused on inventive, contemporary American cuisine. This restaurant was first conceptualized as a pop-up funded through Kickstarter in 2016. The fun and creative cooking quickly earned chef Yuan his own a Michelin star, marking his success in the competitive culinary landscape.
